How do you measure if you are working in network marketing? Score points daily!

You are in marketing or direct sales and you want to measure how effective you are . How do you know if you are working hard? Are you effective or not? To measure how effective you are, you need have a system that is measuring what you do. An efective way to do this is to award points to certain actiivities. You would want to score points every day. A good amount of points to start with is 50 - 70 part time. So let us work on 50 points with 30 days in the month. Your target for the month is 1500 points!

If you want to be sure that you do well in network marketing, a big effort from time to time is required. You may want to set aside a period of 30 days where you score 250 to 300 action points per day. That may require many hours every day (16 hours if you are fulltime and 8 hours if you are part time). That is then 7500 to 9000 points in a month.

So to summarize: if you want to make in in networkmarketing, you have to score at least 2100 points per month - 4500 is even better, but from time to time you want to aim at 9000 points.

So this is how you score:

Personal development:

Cultivate goals (1 point morning and 1 point evening)
Self-training - (1 point for every hour spent)

Promotion actions:

Direct mail/flyers/ bulk email - .02 per item - eg 1000 will give you 20 points
Hits on your webpage or blog - .01 point per hit - 1000 hits will give 10 points
Personal emails, whatsups, personal sms - .25 per item ...
Voice mail drops - 1 point
Advertisements - 2 points per advert
Meet some-one new - 1 point
Dials - 1 point per dial (does not matter if line is busy)

Communication Actions

Connects/ incoming message - 1 point
Appointments set - 2 points
Presentations - 3 points (personal or small group)
Retail Sales - 4 points (I also include wholesale sales here)
Sponsored people - they will join your business - 4 points
Training of new reps - 5 points per person
Team members or guests at Business opportunity meetings  - 2 points per person
Team members or guests at Business building or Training Seminars  - 10 points per person
Team members at smaller personal training or Webinar - 5 points per person

Keep the score daily and ... if you talk to ten people per day about the business and ten people a day about the products, you will succeed! Now you need to figure out how to do that~!

Sample scoring page for weekend of 18/19 March 2023

You need to talk to people about the products - let us say you want to add 50 customers. To achieve this, you need to talk to 10 people a day about the product. Two out of  ten will be interested to buy the product (that will be 40 per month).

So every time you approach a person, you will score one point. (2023 alteration: we work a lot now with whatsapp or messenger or a similar program - any approach on this will score one point. A phone call is still the best, but any approach counts 1 point if it is done on a one-on-one basis!) When he answers you or talks back to you, you score another point. If you get to do a short presentation, that is 3 points. If you make a sale, you will score 4 points. Two sales a day will be 8 points per day. So from one person you could get 1+1+3+4 points = 9 points total. Let us say the average per person is 4 points. To get to 80 points, you need to be in conversation with 20 people in a given day. This will give you between 1600 and 2400 points per month.

Of course you will have to fine tune your business with the point system, but you want to see results and you want to see why you do not get results. Do you talk to enough people? Do you talk to enough, but do not get any results? Then we know that there is a skill missing?

You will need a coach or mentor or accountable person to help point this out.

Find your points system. Work at it. Refine it! Improve it and then teach it!
